After I took my parents and brother to the start of the Iditarod in downtown Anchorage I took them on a little drive...Starting near the Port of Anchorage just outside of downtown....
Then we headed south towards Beluga Point...first we stopped alongside the highway at one of the many frozen waterfalls...
Then we made it out to Beluga Point...didn't see any Beluga's since it's the wrong time of year and much of the surface is still frozen...but it was still beautiful. It was really cool to watch the ice just slowly move on top of the water...

brrr! im cold just looking at it all... but i cant deny it IS gorgeous. that waterfall is amazing!
